A premiação do VMA (Video Music Awards) aconteceu ontem, dia 31, e foi marcada por uma cerimônia ajustada para o mundo em pandemia, sem a tradicional plateia presente e com performances remotas. O evento físico aconteceu ao ar livre, em Nova York, marcando como a primeira premiação com entrega de prêmios ao vivo desde o início da pandemia.
Entre os vencedores, Lady Gaga se destacou, levando cinco prêmios no total, a maioria por sua parceria com Ariana Grande, “Rain On Me”. O maior prêmio da noite, Vídeo do Ano, no entanto, ficou para The Weeknd, com “Blinding Lights”.
